Hectic around here (as usual) - I'll try and be better with my updates! :)

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Been running almost every morning. Running 5 Kilometer's every time. It's a mix of jogging and fast walking. Can't wait till i can actually run the entire 5k! It'll happen. With more practice :)

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Weight wise, been up and down. I've added a little carb because of my upcoming race in less than 2weeks. But in total I have lost 5Lbs so far. Got another 5 lbs to lose for my challenge before/on Aug 27th! Hopefully that will happen! Will keep you updated for sure.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I think I'll re-do attack phase for a few days after the race, just to get the carb out of my system again. That's the plan so far.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Thanks for all your support and lovely comments. Especially about your advice regarding food/my 5K run/ weight loss/ and everything! Thanks!Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-90833417770919790932011-08-02T19:18:00.000-07:002011-08-02T19:18:58.440-07:00Up 2Lbs! Uh-No!No, not sure how that happened! OK, no problem. will keep going strong. The weight WILL go down! It has too! :)

Good day. No run today as I took it off after the 5K yesterday. Tomorrow, I'm running. Hopefully a 5K too. I'll be the happiest person ever when i can actually run the whole 5K. I know it's going to take time. And probably not before the race. But it's something I want to do.

Food today: Chicken kebab, 1 slice of toast, 2 slices of non fat cheese, 2 cups of coffee, 2 hard boiled eggs, slices deli ham, more chicken kebab! :)

Sorry my posts are short and not too interesting. It's getting busy around here!

Have a good one!Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-36686514577306790772011-08-01T20:58:00.000-07:002011-08-01T20:58:43.736-07:005K Run!I did a 5K this morning! Wow! Can't believe it :) - Well, it was jogging/fast walking, but I actually did it. Which is great. Felt tired. I'm a bit sore in the legs, but i am super happy! And i feel great! It feels great to run. I got a feel to what the 5K is going to be in a couple of weeks. Hopefully by that time I can actually run it without stopping or just stopping a few times.

With more and more training/runs I am sure I'll get there!

Good weekend. Nothing new with my weight. I'm exactly the same. The last couple of days I had BBQ'd everything. Beef Kebab, Chicken Kebab, Baba Ghanouj (egg plant grilled), some salad (with no dressing). Pretty good.

I need to start making slight changes to my diet. As I need different kind of food for my training/run. It'll be mostly Dukan on PV. Hopefully that won't affect my main challenge of losing 10 Lbs by the 27th of Aug.

I'll catch up on your blogs in a bit. hope you're all doing well.Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-80301410684171815982011-07-30T21:36:00.000-07:002011-07-30T21:36:12.115-07:00Guess What?!<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Before I tell you my big news let me tell you about my day :) - I lost 0.4 lbs, which isn't too bad. Still going strong and in the right direction.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I had a "kinda" bad cut this evening opening a can of beans. Blood everywhere. Was pretty deep, so to the E.R my husband took me! The location of the cut made it hard for stitches (close to the nail, sideways, as if around the finger). So, they "glued it!" hehe, cool. I would rather have that than stitches! So, all is well now, just finding it really hard to type. So, I'm just going to mention my big surprise before I end this post (which is taking forever to type!:)).

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Last night I signed up for a 5K run in 2.5 weeks!! Yep. Did it and I already did my first training fast walk/jog this morning! I did 1.5 miles. Felt really happy and proud of myself. Started my run at 6:30 a.m. to run! Happy happy happy! I should do at least 40 minutes a day of jogging/walking, until i reach my goal of actually running 5K. Hopefully I will get there in time for the race (on the 19th of Aug). My good friend, who is a runner is supporting and encouraging me! Soo blessed to have her!

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Normal day food wise. The usual. Didn't mess up. Hopefully scales go down in the morning.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Have a great Dukan Day! Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-37145013076861515842011-07-29T22:08:00.000-07:002011-07-29T22:08:23.275-07:00Day 5 Of Challenge - PV<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Daily Weight Loss: .8 Lbs
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Total Loss on the challenge: 3.8 lbs

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">So, 3.8 Lbs in 4 days. Pretty cool. Happy about it. Hopefully it'll keep going this way!

Breakfast: Coffee w/ non fat creamer , Activia light
Lunch: Mexican salad (beef seasoned with Mexican seasoning w/ lettuce, tomatoes and a little avocado w/ fat free sour cream).
Dinner: 1/2 slice of pita bread w/ 2 slices of non fact cheese (i know! shouldn't have)

I officially have a cold. Didn't have the energy to cook today. So just had whatever was there around me. Drinking a lot of water and tea. Hoping it'll help the cold a bit.

That's about it for today. Hopefully this weekend I will do well with food. Weekends are the hardest! - But feeling pretty good so far about my weight loss. Keep in mind, I still didn't get to the lowest weight since I've begun the Dukan! Hopefully soon.

Have a good day!Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-66665349620915301962011-07-27T20:34:00.000-07:002011-07-27T20:34:33.485-07:00Day 3 on my challenge - 7 Lbs to go & PB Review<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Lost another pound this morning. Felt good. Still feel it's water weight, but at least it's coming off.
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Not sure now how my plan should be. How many days on PP? before going to cruise? This will be my 3rd day. Should I start with PV tomorrow? or do another 2 days of PP? Any thoughts?
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Thanks for your comments on my last post. Your encouragement and thoughts help me big time. Yes, a little exercise goes a long way & you guys are right. The first few minutes and getting to start is the hardest. Once you've started, it feels great and you keep going. Need to keep that in mind! :)
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">.
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">WF Peanut Butter Spread Review:
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Oh, and for you who asked about the WF peanut butter spread. Again, not your real thing. It's creamy, doesn't REALLY taste like peanut butter, a little sweet I'd say. But it works. Yesterday I used it as a dipping sauce for my chicken. What I did is I put a little in the pan, mixed it (made it smoother) and added some fresh Ginger to it. It did kinda feel like I was eating Thai food -well, at least it was pretty close! :) - I would recommend it as it is a different texture/tast. Something different to try for sure.
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Breakfast: coffee w/ non fat creamer
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Snack: 1 slice of non fat Cheddar cheese & 1 slice of fat free Bologna && cup of coffee
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Lunch: 3 slices of non fat Swiss cheese & 3 slices of fat free Bologna
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Dinner: 2 thinly cut beef steaks w/ WF Ketchup & Mayo

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I'm really full right now, but I need to have my oat bran. I'll probably have an Oat Bran cookie w/ some tea later on "hopefully" :)

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I had some "tummy problems" today (I'll spare you the details) but that's why I didn't really have a proper lunch/breakfast. But managed to eat dinner. Hopefully it'll sit! :)

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Hope you're all having a good Dukan Day. Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-56984204526770760852011-07-26T20:49:00.000-07:002011-07-26T20:49:00.571-07:00Woohoo! 8 Lbs to Go!<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Daily Weight Loss: 2 Lbs
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Awesome start. This is probably mostly water weight, but it's 2 lbs down and I'm feeling happy about it.
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Thank you all for all the support you've been giving me. It keeps me going.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">There are a couple of things that I need to concentrate on, besides food. Water & Exercise. Need to drink more. Yesterday, I did a good job. I made it a fact to drink water every time I'm in the kitchen (and I'm in there a lot, trust me! with 2 toddlers wanting snacks, milk, water etc ... I'm in there quite a few times a day!) hehe
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">The other thing, exercise. Well, I don't know what is happening, but I don't feel like I have any energy to work out. Need to make it a point to "at least" walk a little everyday.
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Here's how my day went:
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Breakfast: Cup of coffee w/ creamer
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Snack: Activia Light
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Lunch: Grilled Chicken w/ Walden Farms Peanut Butter (added a little fresh ginger)
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Snack: 2 slices of non fat Swiss cheese
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Dinner: 3 hot dog beef franks w/ WF Mayo & WF Ketchup

Might have a cup of tea with an Oat Bran cookie later on tonight.Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-79812515476408778572011-07-25T22:33:00.000-07:002011-07-25T22:33:09.416-07:00Good Day - Hopefully Good Results Tomorrow! :)<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I did pretty well today. Stuck to a PP day and felt good about it.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Breakfast: 1 cup of coffee w/ non fat creamer
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Snack: Oat Bran Chocolate Muffin
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Lunch: Grilled Beef Kebab & Chicken Kebab
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Snack: 2 slices of non fat Swiss cheese
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Dinner: Miracle Noodles w/ chicken in a Walden Farm Alfredo Sauce
Snack: 2 slices of Cheddar Cheese/ non fat

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Ohh, I think my son just woke up. Got to go check on him. Sorry for the short post! I'll update you tomorrow! Wish me luck! :)Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-80144392094218348412011-07-25T09:02:00.000-07:002011-07-25T09:02:18.598-07:00Hey, I'm here!
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Sorry for not posting the last few days. I have a post (that I didn't publish) with the results after my 1st day on PP. I didn't post it because I was, well, surprised, upset, disappointed, a bit embarrassed and because I decided to put everything behind me and move on.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">What happened that after a really good day on PP, the next morning I weighed in and was really surprised that my weight had gone up `1.8 lbs! UP i said, not down! Which is very surprising to me because I usually use that much on my 1st return to PP. So, i felt all the above! And ended up not publishing the post.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Later that night, I got my period. So, in a way, it kinda explained everything. (well at least I hope that was the reason I added the weight).

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Decided that I will start my challenge when I'm done with it. Because I really want to feel good and positive about everything. So, now, I'm done. And today I start my challenge. I know that a few of my Dukan friends wanted to join in on the challenge. Did you guys start? :) - I still have to read your posts. I had a really busy weekend. Fun, but busy. I didn't check my weight the last couple of days. I think I'm afraid because of the weight gain a few days ago!!! :) - But I'll get over it, no worries!

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">It always feels good to start on a Monday anyways, right? :)

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">So, I'll be posting again at the end of the day about the progress of my 1st day of my 10Lbs challenge!

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Gotta do this! I need to do this!! :)

They were absolutely delicious!! Oh wow! Couldn't believe that it would taste this good with those little ingredients! :) Although I'm not a "sweet tooth person" , this is something i really enjoyed. Great texture, not too sweet and just simply delicious :)
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Thank you Vicki !!

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Question: how many of these can we have a day?? :)Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-80773494478624233612011-07-21T20:52:00.000-07:002011-07-21T20:52:36.988-07:00Ready, set, BAKE!<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Good day in general. Nothing exciting really. Rained almost all day, it sucks! Everywhere else in the States are getting a massive heat wave, except us, here in Seattle! You'd think we get used to it. We don't! Oh well, it's just another day.
I wanted to workout, but again, didn't get the chance to do that. Also, I know I need to drink more water. I don't drink enough. Some days, I realize I've only had 1 or 2 cups of water. NOT GOOD! Got to get myself into the habit of drinking more.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Breakfast: 1 cup of coffee/ non fat creamer, Activia light
Lunch: 2 eggs, 1 slice of 2% Swiss cheese, a little crab
Snack: Cup of coffee w/ non fat creamer
Dinner: Miracle Noodle & Walden Farms Pasta Tomato Sauce & Ground Beef
Snack: 3 slices of fat free swiss cheese & some crab (felt a bit hungry after dinner).

I'm "attempting" to bake Chocolate Oatbran Muffins tonight! If they're good, i'll probably have it for a snack with a cup of tea. I'm trying Vicki's recipe. Wish me luck! :)

FYI: I didn't have the Wheat Bran that the recipe needed, but did find something called Cream of Wheat (it's not creamy at all, has the Oat Bran texture). Thought I'd give it a try with that. Let's hope it works! :)

The last few days have been really tough for me. Not talking about the diet (directly), but life in general. That's when I struggle with my food. It's like "yeah, whatever, I'll just eat" . In the past, that's something I would do. Lately, I've been better. Although it takes everything in me to be disciplined about it.
It's also really hard to concentrate on myself and what I need to do to get healthier and be happier. It takes a lot of work to do that. Especially with the daily struggles, routines and experiences with my two little boys. Don't get me wrong, I love my boys. I would do anything and everything for them. I'm just saying, it takes a lot of effort physically and emotionally to juggle between the family needs and my own personal needs.
I'm sure a lot of mom's out there understand where I'm coming from :)

Going to another subject now! Last night, my husband and I went to a soccer game (as it's called in the united states) also known internationally as football! :) - My favorite team, Manchester United were the visiting team. And they were playing our own Seattle Sounders FC. It was a great game.Great atmosphere. And I loved every minute of it. And the timing was great, since I needed a break and do something with my husband without the kids :)
Was a bit skeptical on how this will turn out. Especially that after I opened the jar, the color wasn't really RED, more of a orange pink weird color :) - So, decided to make spaghetti using Miracle Noodles. I sauteed a little minced onions (used an olive oil spray), then added ground beef, some mixed spices, net mug and Cinnamon, salt and pepper. Then I added the Tomato Basil Sauce. and let them cook together on low heat. When everything was done I added the sauce on top of the noodles and mixed them.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">The taste, wasn't exactly your traditional spaghetti, but it was very good. Very descent and I will definitely make it again!

Here's the end result (sorry, not a clear picture - the food was really hot when I took the picture)
I'm still catching up on your blogs but so far, everybody seems to be doing great! Good job!

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">My challenge is to lose 10 Lbs in 3 weeks. I had advice from Dukan friend's to make it 4 weeks. Which is a good idea! Less pressure :)

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">So, my goal now is to lose 10 lbs in 3-4 weeks! :) hehe I'll be aiming for 3 weeks. If it happens, I'll be EXTREMELY happy.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Today I start. And I start with a mini Attack for 3 days. Need to lose the pounds. Need to get into my swim suit for our vacation end of August! And it's not about "getting into" a swim suit, it's more about me feeling "GOOD" about getting into one. I think 10 Lbs will do it! :)

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Have a good day!Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-21686176664834638672011-07-15T10:42:00.000-07:002011-07-15T10:42:14.714-07:00Disappearing for a few days!<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I'll be back either Sunday or Monday. I'll be doing the DUKAN! so no worries :) - well, I'll be doing it as much as I can. It's harder on weekends! :) - But reading all your beautiful blogs this morning got me inspired! Such great attitude towards the diet. Very inspiring indeed!

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">See you in a few days & have a great weekend! Hopefully, A great Dukan friendly weekend!

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Ciao!Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-30418561591594359032011-07-14T19:39:00.000-07:002011-07-14T19:39:35.875-07:00Got my shipment!No change in my weight!

It feels like I'm in some kind of "stabilization" phase! I'm thinking after these 3 days of PV I should probably have a PP day. We'll see how it goes tomorrow - I'm still having constipation problems, even with my PV days & with the powder fiber that I have with my drinks! - thankfully, headaches are GONE! :)

I was waiting for this shipment. It's an order I made online for the (Non Fat, No Calorie, Gluten free ...) products. I used a couple of their products before. And now, this order, I got some new things. I already tried 2 new products.

1- Ketchup: Zero everything! The color is like Ketchup but it was more liquidy (that is probably not a word!) but you know what I mean ;) - It tasted good. Don't expect the real taste of Ketchup, but it's pretty close and descent.
2- Mayonnaise: Same color, different substance. It was as the ketchup was "more liquidy" - kinda more like a dressing substance! Yes, that's it .. a dressing! And it did taste good. (not like real mayo though).

I also got some ready made tomato sauce (ready made pasta sauce), peanut butter spread, chocolate spread, strawberry jam, garlic herb (pasta sauce). And I'm looking forward to trying them all somehow! :) - Again, they're calorie free and all.

I just realized I never mentioned where I get all these products from! They're from a company called Walden Farms. If you'd like to check their products or order anything, here's the website http://waldenfarms.com/.

Breakfast: Cup of coffee w/ creamer
Lunch: 3 hot dogs w/ Walden Farms Ketchup & Mayo
Snack: Sugar Free Jello Chocolate Mousse
Dinner: Sauteed mushrooms & crab w/ some garlic, Walden Farm Alfredo Sauce & some chicken broth added for some sauce. Had it with the miracle noodles.

I didn't have anything for breakfast because I forgot! I fed the boys & then we all got ready to go to a morning play date. Totally forgot about breakfast.Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-71744230429252830982011-07-14T08:37:00.000-07:002011-07-14T08:37:53.463-07:00My Swim Suit & A New Dukan Friend<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I got a comment from a lady doing the Dukan Diet yesterday. And her comment really made me think. And she did put things under perspective. A different perspective. Here's what she wrote:

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">About your bathing suit fears: you are at a weight many people would really love to be at ... just keep telling yourself that there are many people that will look at you and ENVY the way you look! I don't know if that will put it into perspective?!
Like I would be thrilled to be at your weight ... and I know people that are heavier than me would love to be where I am at now.
Crazy, I know, when we are not satisfied with ourselves.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Her comment let me go back 1.5 years ago when I weighed in at 208 Lbs. That was my weight a few months after I had my son. And for the first time, this morning, I realize that I have lost a total of 24 Lbs! And that's really good. Even though it took more than a year to get lose it. At least it's going down.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif; font-size: small;">I tried on my swim suit, that I got 1.5 yrs ago, to go swimming at the gym (which I never did really), and to my surprise, I could tell it looks better on me now than it did when I first bought it! I feel really good about that. I think more than the weight, what makes me even more self conscious, are the cellulite lines & some stretch marks. But , I've decided to look at those stretch marks in a positive way. Those are signs of my struggle with weight and my success-so far- with losing some weight. (it's hard to think of it that way, it'll take time, but that's what I think I need to do). - And probably try and find some good cream to help reduce that!!! lol hehe
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif; font-size: small;">Anyways, let's give our new friend some support and love. Follow her journey.
So, as I mentioned before, I bought it from Costco. It comes in a pack of 4. Here's how it looks like:

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">This is one pack. Originally, all 4 packs are attached to each other.

It's found in the "fridge" section. Not the freezer. It really tastes good. I'm definitely buying more!Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-19550121173553372522011-07-13T21:47:00.000-07:002011-07-13T21:54:26.882-07:00Love my Crab !- PV

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Obviously, I'm loving the crab meat! I think I'll try it in a different way everyday :) - until i finish what i have. Well, when that happens, I'm going out to buy some more :) hehe
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I'm thinking when I get my order of Miracle Noodles, I'll probably make it with crab meat and the no calorie Alfredo Sauce :)

P.S (i finally finished the Tilapia that I had - To be honest, i really didn't want to have it for dinner, but I didn't want to freeze it (don't like to eat fish that was previously frozen), so i just cooked it. I would really like to challenge myself and try and lose 10 Lbs in 3 weeks or less. I'm thinking, it is doable, If I stick to my diet. Any thoughts?
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">August 27th (which also happens to be my birthday), we're going on vacation. That requires a swimming suit! In public! (when we went swimming with my boys last week, it was just us in the pool)!! Haven't done that because of how self conscious I am about my body and being in a swim suit. So, i'm thinking 10 Lbs in 3 weeks (the trip is at least 6 weeks away) should make me feel VERY good about myself! :)Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-91311761470042194022011-07-12T18:13:00.000-07:002011-07-12T18:13:13.273-07:00First day = Success! -PV Day<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Daily weight loss is 2 Lbs
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Current Weight: 184 Lbs (I went up a couple of pounds over 2 days before starting my new plan)
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I was unsure if my new plan would work, but I was really happy on the scales this morning. I lost 2 lbs eating healthy "yummy" food and feeling full. How great is that? :)
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I'm still constipated, but I'm sure it's going to take a few days for my veggies/fiber to kick in. I do have a headache this morning, but I'm thinking it's because of having to be up with my 1.5 yr old from 11:30 p.m till 3:30 a.m! - I think he's teething. (he still has a few more teeth left to come out!) :)
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Breakfast: Cup of Coffee w/ creamer , Activia Light
Lunch: Crab Salad - I had to have it today again! ;)
Snack: Cup of coffee w/ creamer
Dinner: Baked Tillapia seasoned with Taco seasoning with a tomato relish - Delicious!
Snack: Iced Non Fat Latte

Feeling good. Loving the PV days :) - Never thought I'd miss vegetables as much as I did. I've been enjoying my food the last couple of day and it makes things easier.

Again, tonight, I'll probably have the oat bran cookie with a cup of tea while watching t.v. I think, in the past, the most calorie intake for me was during the evening, munching, while watching t.v. I mostly loved eating Chips! I'm slowly getting out of this habit! Finally!

Have a good one!Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-88204853462160507692011-07-11T17:53:00.000-07:002011-07-11T17:53:42.954-07:00The Plan!I decided to start the week with a PV day. And I'll have more PV days in a week than PP. I will eat more vegetables and fish. Will try to cut down on red meat and have chicken more often (although it's not one of my favorite ).
I know i'm worrying about continuing with this diet, but i'm also really worried to gain all the weight back. I feel Dukan keeps me in check and on track.
I will stay away from carbs and fruits for now.

My Day:

Breakfast: Cup of Coffee w/ creamer , Activia Light
Snack: Cup of Coffee
Lunch: Crab Salad (Lettuce, cucumbers, olives, topped with crab meat & Calorie free Thousdand Island Dressing).
Snack: Activia Light
Dinner: 2 Tilapia Fish baked and seasoned with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Topped with a tomato, garlic, mint, lemon juice relish. YUMMY!

I was really happy about the menu today! Loved everything I had. Made it feel like I wasn't on a diet. Love the feeling. Especially the feeling of being FULL! :)

Later on tonight, I'll have a cup of tea w/ my Oat Bran Vanilla Cookie!
Have a wonderful evening! (morning, afternoon , wherever you are in the world!).Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-87457177128513377652011-07-10T07:51:00.000-07:002011-07-10T07:51:37.563-07:00Thought Of The Day<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I'll get right to it. I am starting to worry about eating a lot of protein and not enough vegetables. Not worried about carbs really. I can do without them. But the protein, well, I'm worried. I have a bad family history of heart disease, cholesterol and high blood pressure. I mentioned this on this blog in the past, and I stopped the diet for a while. I came back to it because my desire to losing weight was my priority. And of course it wasn't proven that Dukan was a "bad" diet.
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Now, again, I worry. And my husband worries. He has been very supportive of me through my ups and downs on this diet and other diets I've been on.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">"If you can do the Dukan Diet, you can do pretty much any other diet" his words. Maybe try counting calories (which is what I did for a while, it worked when I stuck to it). Or maybe try a healthier lifestyle. More veggies , fiber and lean protein. Got to mix up the diet. Many thoughts and ideas.

I'm still getting the headaches. I'm very constipated even with the fiber powder that I add with my drinks. It's actually starting to bother me.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">I'm not saying I'm quitting Dukan. I just wanted to share my thoughts. After all, Dukan or not, we're here to lose weight and get healthy. That's my main goal. I want to be healthy for my husband, my sons and for me. Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8408604419816953574.post-21968242389780458372011-07-09T20:32:00.000-07:002011-07-09T20:32:53.533-07:00It's the weekend! PP Day<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Nice relaxed day. Didn't do much, which is good for a change! :) - But still my meals were all over the place. No planned breakfast, lunch or dinner. Just food in general throughout the day.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">So, here's what I had throughout the day:

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">- 2 hot dogs
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">- 2 slices of cheese
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">- 2 Tbls of non fat vanilla yogurt
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">- 1 hard boiled egg
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">- 2 diet soda
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">- 2 cups of coffee
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">- 1/2 a slice of small pizza (i know!)
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">- Grilled chicken breast

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Lots of water!

Oh, and there was no change in my weight this morning.

Have a good one!Julie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06101373781684567944noreply@blogger.com0
