First of all, I'd like to apologize for not posting in a long time & not returning your messages. Been quite busy in soo many ways, including taking care of myself :) - So, at least that's good, right? :)
Thank you for your messages/emails and concern about where I've disappeared.
I'm still going strong on my diet, but I've chosen a different way. Dukan is a great diet and worked really well with me when i stuck to it. But it wasn't my thing. I gave it a try and i decided to do something different. I now count calories. I use www.myfitnesspal.com to keep track of my calorie intake and my exercise. Yes, you heard me right, I'm now VERY committed to exercising and i do it regularly. I actually started the C25K training (Couch to 5K) Which is basically a training program to run long distances. I'm hoping one day i can run half a marathon. C25K is one of the things I'm doing besides cycling and weight training.
I am really happy with what I'm doing now. I'm eating healthy, exercising and i feel great. I started this 2.5 weeks ago. I've lost 6 Lbs already. Yes, it might not see a lot compared to what you could lose on Dukan. But I'm happy with it and I'm losing weight (slowly but steady).
I don't know if you'd still like to hear about my weight loss journey, since I'm not on Dukan. But I'd be happy to give updates every now and then :)
I still read your blogs and you all inspire me soo much. Your commitment is amazing. Keep up the good work guys!
Have a great weekend Dukaneers!!
I think you've made a great decision. It's whatever works for you, right? And you never know, I may just follow your lead:) I know I work better with less carbs, but Dukan hasn't been doing me any huge favours lately. Not that I've been 100%.
ReplyDeleteI started running with the C25K program as well, and it's awesome. I run all the time now, and am currently training for a 10K. Keep it up. And please do keep bloggin!
H

Hey Julie :) Definitely keep blogging :) Life changes but friendships don't have to. It's great to see how everyone is going, even if we aren't blogging as regularly as before.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is still a great resource for people wanting to learn about the Dukan Diet anyway :)
I am really interested in hearing about how your running program is going! I am scared of running, maybe one day I would like to give it a go. Only once in my life I've ran 2km, and that was a huge effort.
xoxo
Of course you want about your weight loss journey. The goal is to lose weight and how you do it is your business. We want to hear about your successes, we want to be there to support you as we would want you to do for us.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Wow! Julie I just checked out the my fitness site and registered. The actually do dukan food as well and for me I think it's going to help to keep me on track in terms of exercise. Thank you for that!
ReplyDelete(By the way the first line of my last comment should have read "of course we want to hear about your weight loss journey.")
Great news that you've started running! I'm really enjoying training for the 5km next month and would love to do a 10km race next year. Keep us posted on how you're getting on.
