Day 37 - Cruise Phase (PP) -Weigh In!

Weigh in: 195 lbs.
Weight Loss: .4 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 9 Lbs

Was i surprised when i weighed myself? yes, very surprised. I knew i wasn't going to lose weight a lot of weight this week, but .4lbs?!? it's almost NOTHING! Ok, i said i would be happy with ANY loss, and in a way i am, but i am a bit disappointed. Can't deny that. But it's okay .. more reason to keep going, more reason to work harder. It's ok. It just seems that my mini goal weight (of losing 10 pounds) isn't happening! Oh well!

I"m not trying to give excuses here, but i think  big part of my lack of weight loss this last week is because of my really bad constipation. I was suffering today (and all last week)! I'm soo bloated, i have really bad stomachaches and even my back sides hurt! It's just terrible. I'm trying different things suggested by some of my Dukan Friends regarding this and some other ways my mom suggested, and I'm hoping it starts getting better soon. Anyways, that's why i'm assuming this has something to do with not losing weight. (I had to switch soo many PP days to PV days also).

Ok, here's my list to why I'm not losing weight:
- Not enough water
- NO exercise!
- Not regular on my Oat Bran.
- Too much dairy in my daily diet (i snack on cheese A LOT)
- Not preparing meals ahead of time.'
- Need to work on those issues for sure.

What I'm going to do about it:
- Obviously, i need to make sure i drink more water!
- I checked out times at my gym so i can start going. I am more committed to exercise when I'm at the gym. One thing is going to be challenging though, if i go to the gym, it'll have to be very early in the morning. I found some cycling classes twice a week, that start at 5:00 a.m. And another class that has to do with weights, 2 times a week also, at 6:00 a.m. It's going to be tough to wake up this early and get out of the house, but I'm going to try it.  The plan is, to go at least 3 times a week to the gym, and do some walking/running on my treadmill during the day, everyday.  Wish me luck!
-Cut on dairy products for sure (try to find a different thing to snack on if i got hungry)
- I need to plan a menu for the week ahead. Write down a list of foods I'll need for the week and have everything ready and handy. I know this will help a lot. I have the new Dukan Recipe Book and i will try out some things.

One last note, i think I'll be going back to weighing myself daily. I think i can hold myself more accountable to what i eat if i weigh in everyday. So, back to daily weigh ins!

Hopefully I'll be able to do everything i just mentioned. I know , that if i do these things, I'll lose weight better,

As for today, here's how it went:

Breakfast: 1 Activia Light Yogurt / cup of tea
Snack: 3 mini cookies/ non Dukan Friendly
Lunch: 3 slices of low fat turkey / some slices of cheddar cheese
Snack: Wasn't hungry
Dinner: Fillet Mignon wrapped with low fat turkey bacon. Easy to make and it's very tasty. You guys should try it. Just seasoned the steak with salt and pepper then wrap the bacon around. Saute a little (a spray of olive oil), then in the oven it goes for a few minutes until it's done. It tasted really good.
Snack: Sugar Free Chocolate Mousse  / i think i might boil a couple of eggs later in the evening.

  1. Hi Julie,
    Constipation is a nasty problem. I had it on my first 2 weeks on the diet and I never did more than 2 PP days running. The way I got round it was to drink the recommended amount of water, have the oat bran and have lots of green vegetables on PV days.
    When you manage to lose the constipation, you'll find the weight drops of more easily. I have lost 10 kg so far.
    Don't give up!

  2. Hey Julie, you are so close to 10 pounds, I know it will happen soon for you, especially if you make the changes you have identified!
    I too am having troubles going to the toilet regularly and no doubt it is making the scales not drop! Fingers crossed for both of us ok? xo

  3. Thank you ladies. I'm trying soo many different things to get rid of this nasty constipation, so far nothing is working. I'm going to explode! i'm soo bloated. I think i'm going to do 2 days of PV and eat lots and lots of vegetables this weekend, hopefully that will help. Will keep you posted! :)
