Up 2Lbs! Uh-No!

No, not sure how that happened! OK, no problem. will keep going strong. The weight WILL go down! It has too! :)

Good day. No run today as I took it off after the 5K yesterday. Tomorrow, I'm running. Hopefully a 5K too. I'll be the happiest person ever when i can actually run the whole 5K. I know it's going to take time. And probably not before the race. But it's something I want to do.

Food today: Chicken kebab, 1 slice of toast, 2 slices of non fat cheese, 2 cups of coffee, 2 hard boiled eggs, slices deli ham, more chicken kebab! :)

Sorry my posts are short and not too interesting. It's getting busy around here!

  1. The 2 lbs is NO DOUBT your muscles flushing with and retaining water! They need to do that to restore the torn fiber (everytime you exercise, you actually "tear fiber"). I am not an expert, so I can't explain this well, but this effect goes away about 2 days after a major exercise.
    On the bright side, the more muscle fiber you build, the easier it will be to shed weight overall and the trimmer you look (even if the scale shows a higher number!).

  2. Yes I agree with Moonday about lactic acid build-up in the muscles after exercise causes weight gain temporarily. Drink plenty of water and it should all flush away...

  4. Yes -- ditto on everything written above. You are doing GREAT, and the fact that you're running/training is messing a little with the scales...hang in there...

  5. Thanks for your thoughts regarding this. Masha, I either put out the coal BBQ or just grill it on the grilling pan. Both work perfectly.
